Welcome to the website of FREESTYLE KUNG FU CLUBS SHIN GA DO WALES.We have been activley involved in martial arts since 1989,and have trained at several venues in the southwest wales area.We are a non political club with links to China via our main association namley;SHIN GA DO based in Manchester under Sigung Mark Kemp.
We are also affilliated to RYU KYU KARATE and GUNG FU associaton under Shian Mick Benfell.
We practice a freestyle Kung Fu system,which is based on the FIVE ANIMALS system of Kung Fu.Crane,Tiger,Snake,Leopard and Monkey.
Our main instructor is Sifu Keith Morgan,who is a 4th level black sash,who has been training since 1989.We currently train on Thursday evenings at Birchgrove community centre 7.00pm to 9.00pm.Our other instructor is Sifu Adrian Beasant who teaches on Sunday evenings at the Michael Sobel Leisure Centre Aberdare(7.00pm-9.00pm).All instructors are fully insured and have certification to ratify their grades.All instructors have first aid certification as well.
Since we are a non political club all our students are encouraged to seek other instruction to compliment their skills.Likewise students from whichever art,are welcome to join us for a friendly training session.We are that confident you will enjoy your training with us,that we will give your first lesson FREE!!!!.
We have run numerous seminars,and also raised hundreds of pounds for childrens charities.These seminars have included instruction in Kung Fu,Karate,Aikido,Ju-Jitsu Weapons training etc,with instructors from all over the country.This years seminar will be held during October in Birchgrove,date to be announced.
